I feel Katniss' aggressiveness while reading it from the start and that didn't help giving the story a twist。 I feel Katniss' aggressiveness while reading it from the start and that didn't help giving the story a twist。 。。。more

I definitely liked this。 Overall, it was a good series。 The author could have done better making some parts less predictable and developing a few of the characters better。 However, some parts surprised me and I did feel attached to a few characters。 Good read。

For years I was skeptical about reading this series。 The concept of throwing children into an arena to fight to the death by a sadistic government turned me away。 It was an appalling concept。 So what changed my mind? The fact that, as a writer, I want to explore what people call "the best books" in this century。 I don't do a great job, all the time。 I'll be honest about that。 But I figured, if the book got too violent, or contained a bunch of foul language, or explicit content, I would just stop For years I was skeptical about reading this series。 The concept of throwing children into an arena to fight to the death by a sadistic government turned me away。 It was an appalling concept。 So what changed my mind? ✨

I loved this series when I was younger, and it still holds up reading through it as an adult。 It's very easy to immerse yourself in the world of the books, and to feel for the characters。 Definitely a series I'd recommend。 I loved this series when I was younger, and it still holds up reading through it as an adult。 It's very easy to immerse yourself in the world of the books, and to feel for the characters。 Definitely a series I'd recommend。 。。。more

The Hunger Games Series ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5This is, without a doubt, the best dystopian series I've ever read。 I can't emphasize enough how no other series can come close to this。 Suzanne Collins, the author herself had done a lot of research and wrote it beautifully。 I couldn't stop myself from flipping to the next page because she created a masterpiece based on war。 This series, for one thing, dealt with every societal topic that existed。 It also focuses on a person's mental capacity in the face of a seri The Hunger Games Series ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5This is, without a doubt, the best dystopian series I've ever read。 I can't emphasize enough how no other series can come close to this。 Suzanne Collins, the author herself had done a lot of research and wrote it beautifully。 I couldn't stop myself from flipping to the next page because she created a masterpiece based on war。 This series, for one thing, dealt with every societal topic that existed。 It also focuses on a person's mental capacity in the face of a series of awful and gruesome incidents。 If you ask me what my favorite series is, it's the Hunger Games。 Katniss Everdeen showed to everyone that a government should never underestimate its citizens。 She was more than simply a good bow and arrow hunter。 The uprising changed the course of history and it inspired everyone to fight for their rights。 Given that the Philippines is about to hold elections, this is very timely。 I'm hoping that we'll all vote for a president who will lead by example, and not by force。P。S。 I want to read the prequel book already!!! This book is one of my favourites especially with all the plot twists and deaths, if you also like The Maze Runner or Percy Jackson you would definitely like this one。 One thing I really enjoy about the book is that the protagonist is a sixteen-year-old girl, who went to the Hunger Games instead of her sister, Prim。

I just finished The Hunger Games for the umpteenth time in the decade or so since I first read them and I am a wreck。 But the more I revisit this story the more I get from it and the more I laugh at the dumb teenaged version of myself who invested so deeply in the vague romantic subplots when this is not a love story。 This is a war story。 This is a story about loss and trauma and it’s so brilliantly, painfully executed。 It’s a story that reminds the reader that we are a victim of our circumstanc I just finished The Hunger Games for the umpteenth time in the decade or so since I first read them and I am a wreck。 But the more I revisit this story the more I get from it and the more I laugh at the dumb teenaged version of myself who invested so deeply in the vague romantic subplots when this is not a love story。 This is a war story。 This is a story about loss and trauma and it’s so brilliantly, painfully executed。 It’s a story that reminds the reader that we are a victim of our circumstances and we must make the best of the limited choices we are allow when life continually, perpetually, gets in the way。 It is a story of survival and the scars it leaves。 It is a story of the complexity of the human condition。 Nothing in this series was ever meant to leave you satisfied with a happy ending or things playing out the way the most optimistic part of you desires。 And if it any of the plot gave me what I had wanted, the story would’ve been much shorter and entirely lackluster。 I am grateful and destroyed, just as I am sure I’ll be the next time it’s time to go back to Panem。 。。。more

It was such an amazing book! The only reason I’m giving it three stars it’s because I watched the movie first。 We all know if you watch the movie first the book isn’t as good! Definitely a great read if you’re not into a whole bunch of romance and depressing stuff! :)
